I was born in Singapore and moved to New Zealand when I was seven-years-old, growing up in New Plymouth. I graduated from the University of Otago Dental School in 1994 and have been practising ever since.

I have additional dental training including extensive training in basic and advanced implant prosthetics and surgery with the Dental Implantology Academy, Melbourne, live surgical training at Mariano Galvez University of Guatemala and a Fellowship in Implant Dentistry at the Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami.

Outside of work I'm married to my amazing wife and we have three daughters. I enjoy mountain biking, Goju Ryu Karate, skiing, weight training, fitness and I was previously a fanatical amateur competitive road cyclist. I also love travelling to new places and long road trips in my Ford Mustang.

I graduated from Otago University with a Bachelor of Oral Health in 2014. After working for the Hutt Valley DHB in Wellington as an oral health therapist for a year, I moved back home to be closer to my friends and family. I started at Penrose Dental five years ago and haven’t looked back.

I believe good oral health is very important. Helping patients love their smiles is what got me into the dental field. It is a huge privilege to look after our patients when they may not feel their best about their dental health. People can be anxious about their dental health helping them feel relaxed by creating a caring, comfortable, and educational environment; where they are always happy to see our lovely team brings me a lot of happiness.

Outside of work you can find me binge-watching tv shows, reading, or spending time with friends and my family in my free time. I love little breaks from Auckland travelling near or far. Recommendations on new getaways to visit are greatly appreciated!

I have been with Penrose Dental for 10 wonderful years as a Dental Assistant. I have 17 years of dental experience as a school dental therapist in Sri Lanka. I love doing a variety of tasks during the day and taking care of patients in need. I always strive to make them feel comfortable. You will always find a smiling face when you come into Penrose Dental.

It brings me great joy to help ease any anxiety our lovely patients have when they come in. I really enjoy working with Dr Chris and our lovely team. I am sure you will love them too.

Outside of work I love to travel around NZ with my family. I love to help my friends and greater community in any way I can.

I first worked as a dental house surgeon in Palmerston North Hospital. Overall, I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry, with a strong commitment to patient care and staying up to date with new techniques.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family, travelling to new places, the occasional time on the golf course, and getting creative in the kitchen.

Hi everyone, my name is Ash. I am the new front desk coordinator for Penrose Dental. I was born and bred in Auckland, but have a Fijian Indian heritage.

I am very fortunate to have joined such a lovely team. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and helping to organise your appointments and dental needs.

In my spare time I love binge watching tv shows, and spending time with family and friends. My other favourite past times are baking and cooking!
